RECIPE: Pomegranate Sauce

Cook & Cork’s Pomegranate Rosh Hashanah Sauce
Great when used as a sauce for chicken or potato pancakes!

  • 2 green apples, peeled & sliced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1-2 tb sugar, depending on taste
  • 1tb pomegranate molasses (from Mid-East market) or substitute grenadine and cut back sugar

        Or substitute pomegranate juice and reduce to syrup before adding

  • ¼ cup water

Simmer everything on low until liquid is almost gone and apples are soft.
Mash with potato masher, season with pinch of salt & pepper
